Best technical writer in the world? Wow!
Sometimes I wonder if all the time I spend writing is really that helpful to others. I could be doing any number of things instead, all with a better immediate payback. Also, writing can be such a lonely process with very little feedback. When I do get feedback, well, it's usually a complaint about how I missed an important point. Ugh... Every once in a long while, however, someone says something very nice. I recently got a compliment that I really appreciate. Geertjan Wielenga, a NetBeans technical writer, apparently likes what I have to say about Java and NetBeans...coming from him, well, a compliment like that means a lot. So, thanks Geertjan, thanks for making my day! Posted at 07:30AM Apr 07, 2008 by John O'Conner in General |

That javai18n site is still around
To reduce the frustration that some of you might feel about me and this site's frequent changes, I've reinstated the old javai18n site. You can gain access to everything that was here. Just use this url -- http://joconner.com/javai18n. I won't update that area of the site anymore, but it'll be there if you really want it. Posted at 10:34AM Mar 30, 2008 by John O'Conner in General |
