NetBeans 6 dominates JavaFX development

It’s just a personal poll, but it says a lot about the popularity of NetBeans as a JavaFX development platform. A full 87% of JavaFX developers prefer NetBeans over rival IDEs.

See NetBeans 6 dominates JavaFX development for more information about the other IDEs in my recent poll.

Personally i’m a big fan of netbeans and i use it on a daily basis intensively. But saying netbeans dominates in javafx development sounds (to me atleast) a bit sarcastic since hardly anybody is using javafx. Netbeans is a very good editor in its own right… and to be honest, i think any effort that the netbeans developers put into javafx is time that could and should have been spent on other and more important things. This is not because i don’t think ria stuff isn’t important, since i’m also a heavy flex developer (who really tried to make the “jump”).
