We are developing a website in spring framework. We need to localize this in Japan and other languages. We are using the MySQL database. What are the things we need to consider for localizing the website. Could you please help us?

I mean that one can support Unicode by implementing some features of the Unicode standard without implementing ALL of the standard. For example, your application may be able to search and store any Unicode character but may NOT be able to display all of them. Or your application may be able to store Arabic characters but may not be able to render them from right to left correctly.

This type of mixed support is common, and rarely does any application fully support all aspects of the Unicode standard. The real message of this particular blog entry is that internationalization and Unicode support are not typically complete in any project, and there are numerous levels of both.

"Instead, “support” usually means that you can do some things with Unicode but probably not others."

Could you elaborate on that?
